FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LOS ANGELES, CA -- December, 15 2009. In their 4th year of operation, The LAx Paperboys will finish 2009 with The 4th Annual JUST BE COOL Holiday Party. This event will represent the end of another successful year for The Paperboys, as they continue to build their JBC brand as one of the most organic marketing campaigns of their generation.

Keeping their end-of-the-year holiday party organic(guest list only), affordable($2) and entertaining(live music), The LAx Paperboys are building a movement that thrives off of positivity and positive people. The support that this campaign has generated over the past four years has provided The LAx Paperboys with opportunities to build relationships with some very powerful brands within and beyond the music industry.

This year, the Los Angeles based marketing team has decided to bring out a monster cast of burgeoning talent. With DJ Sean G (Pac Div) spinning all night, be prepared to witness late-night performances from at least one, possibly even all of the following JBC affiliates: Dom Kennedy, Pac Div, Carter, Skotch Davis and Rob Roy, to close out the night. Also, come dressed to impress for the infamous Photo Booth by Tommy B and make sure to be on your best behavior as C'est La Vie will also have their cameras out for full media coverage throughout the night.

The LAx Paperboys have a strong history of bringing out a generous mixed-crowd of urban taste makers; and by the way things have been going this past year, it wouldn't be far off to expect the same with this years holiday party. Through music, merchandise and creative marketing, the JUST BE COOL Campaign has successfully seized the attention of a worldwide audience and will continue in its effort to redefine COOL. Check out pictures and video footage from last years JUST BE COOL. Holiday Party and make sure to RSVP@LAXPAPERBOYS.COM so you can witness for yourself.

The 4th Annual JUST BE COOL Holiday Party will take place:
Wednesday, December 23, 2009 from 9pm-2am at Janes House in Hollywood (6541 Hollywood Blvd).

The LAx Paperboys

Established in August of 2006, The LAx Paperboys are the new age, urban activists. Inspired by the mission and work ethic of the young paperboy, historically known for delivering newspapers first thing in the morning, LAx Paperboys are the first ones up and the last to go to sleep for our work is never done.

Paperboy - someone who delivers the news. The position of Paperboy occupies a prominent place in many countries including the United Kingdom, the United States of America and Japan, mainly because the newspaper was the main source of information for a very long time. The Paperboy has long been the first paying job available to youngsters. Dedicated to spreading knowledge and information, a Paperboy is the last to go to sleep and the first one up in the morning.

The LAx Paperboys are dedicated to promoting positivity while elevating minds across all generations. Our global campaign, slogan and message to the world is JUST BE COOL. Our influence is focused on but, not limited to the Hip-Hop generation. We are dedicated to uplifting our generation and helping others to recognize, take ownership of, and harness their own individual capacity for greatness. We will raise the overall level of happiness by creating a new culture of PEACE and PROSPERITY. We will encourage each and every one of YOU to embrace your circumstances and strive beyond with sincere ambition, confidence and conviction. We are proving to the world that there is strength in numbers and with PEACE, UNITY and a PROGRESSIVE mindset we can make a difference.

Philanthropy
- derives from Ancient Greek, meaning "to love people". Philanthropy is the act of donating money, services, time and/or effort to support a socially beneficial cause, with a defined objective and with no financial or material reward to the donor. In a more general sense, philanthropy may encompass any altruistic activity intended to promote good or improve human quality of life. One who practices philanthropy may be called a philanthropist. Although such individuals are often rich, people may perform philanthropic acts without possessing great wealth.

Lady Gaga...is the BIZ

For those of you that doubt the massive takeover that is Lady Gaga right now, then perhaps you should run the experiment I did last night: combine tipsy artist/blogger with dying blackberry, put her in prime over stage seating (reserved for the execs no less) and watch it unfold. The result? Talent so big my poor blackberry video capabilities couldn't capture it all but even through my shitty camera action, you can see this chick has not only many gifts, but will be around for a long time....Check it....

I hope you are paying attention to the fact that she PLAYS WITH HER FEET and this shit keeps rollin flawlessly....That piano is amazing...she designed it herself....

And another goodie...here's a snip from Semi-Precious Weapons...I ♥ them! check it....

Here's some flics from the show.....

When I arrived at sound check, there were anxious fans waiting for a glimpse of Gaga....5 hrs early and one even had a light orb!
Chris from The White Tie Affair is that black blur giving one fan in the front row the time of her life....

She totally deserved it, she knew EVERY word to EVERYONE'S songs last night...AND asked a stage hand for the set list off the stage....I want those kinds of fans....
Justin Tranter from Semi-Precious Weapons climbed up to say hello...
They're Magnetic Baby AND they glow...And now for her entrance....
YES...those are Louis V leggings on the dancers and she had on the cutest bracelet and Louis V heels to boot....
Such a vision...in bubbles....We got to witness a very special moment on stage...Lady Gaga was presented with her Gold plaque by Vince, the man that signed her....good times and congrats to Gaga and her team...

It was an AWESOME show which may be coming to a city near you so look it up....Shout out to DA & Max from Chester French who also killed...as well as Chris Watkins from The White Tie Affair (ILOOOOOOOOOOVED the glow in the dark dance section and ur medley my dear, you fulfilled your promise lol).....

Stay tuned Head Casers, the summer concert madness is JUST getting started...(so I need new gadgets to document lol)...

Next up.....The Roots Jam Session ft Chester French, Joya Bravo and more....

xoxo.

Gotta love those musical adventures..

So last night I was blessed to have one of my musical adventures in the city. First stop, The Eldridge for Ciroc and Chester French's Ciroc Star Cocktail Hour...Why? Because we're CirocStars right DA? Lol.

Bad Boy's own superstar, Capricorn, was a gracious host and greeted us with smiles and directed us to the Ciroc open bar where we enjoyed Ciroc, Pineapple and Sprite...mmmm! Tip-saaaay! Thanks Diddy! After jammin to sounds courtesy of DJ M-O-S, Chester French engaged us with an acoustic set including my favorite "She Loves Everybody". If you haven't seen their phenomenal video, here ya go:

DA and Max totally killed it! Love those guys...Afterwards, DA decided to teach Where's Leslie? how to properly tie a bow tie...with NO mirror:

He's such a pro...

Next stop- The Sugar Spot to show love for LAX Paperboy Skotch Davis. Not only was the MC Miss Maria Davis (aka his Mom) JOKES all night long, he killed his set as well. Check a little sample:

The kid is HOT...if ya don't know now ya do and click his name above for more!

I must say it was a lovely evening and I met some beautiful souls....here's to the rest of this week and more music.

Also don't forget!!! Tuesday, April 7th!:

At Fashion Week I realized...

(HAPPY BIRTHDAY RIHANNA! PRAYERS WITH THE WHOLE SITUATION...DAMN...*Pic Above Rihanna and Zac Posen)

Everyone TRULY has their passion. And while amidst all the beautiful frocks and frolickers, all I could think about was:

Man I wish I coulda been at the MAC Barbie party when Where's Leslie's? "We Are Rockstars" was playing....

Is Making the Band on?

Heeeeey who is this playing.....B-line to the DJ booth to spy on the serato screen...

Why do they call it a B-line?.....

LOL

I will say, my hi-light as I was leaving, I met the goddess, the bag of funktified fierceness. The one and only Patricia Fields.

All I could utter..."I love you!" "Thank you dear, you're beautiful!" as she kept on to her adoring fans and pappos. Mission complete, and Zac who? LOL.

Another Fashion Week draws it's close and soon the tents will once again be a park, PR girls and "guys" will have to relinquish their powers and I will keep marching to my drum.

But damn we count the days til the Devils in Jacobs, Posen, and Sui walk again....

Did I neglect to mention...

HAPPY FASHION WEEK?!

I've been caught up in grind mode that I haven't even noticed all the eye candy lurking around the city and those undeniable tents. The city is in a flurry with fashion and model mayhem...and tomorrow I'M GOING TO ZAC POSEN!!! WOO WOO!!! So stay tuned for some lovely shenannies!!! But here's a taste from the Spring Collection...

We had some shennanies after at the showroom...

...and things got a little coocoo....
Here's the collage Jerome made for inspiration for the show...
And here's one of the girl's contributions (awww)
Here's me trying to steal the models' numbers...
FIERCE! GO ROMEY ROME LOL!
ANd our very own fashion show....

NOW TO THE PARTY!!!!
Yes...The Plaza was kinda crackin courtesy of jams spun by DJ CASSIDY....
Say whaaaaaaaat Jerome?!?!?!
Well looky looky....
Yes I fought every urge to ask him to sing "This Woman's Work" in my ear....
Get it Carl!!

Now this brings me to the BITCHASSNESS OF THE EVENING AWARD....I give you Alexis Phifer aka Kanye's Ex and "designer"....
Wanna know why she's posed like this? I asked her politely if she was wearing one of her designs... She answered yes...I in turn asked if I could please take a picture of it, I'm a fan (yes we have to lie sometimes to get what we want lol)...Her answer, "I just want to dance with my friends. Sure you can take it while we're dancing."....Really? So I did with EVERY intent of this entry.
Here's my thing, if the powers that be are kind enough to bless you with your 15 minutes of fame, don't you think it's humble enough to grant the masses less than thirty seconds of your time? I don't get this about people sometimes. You're at an event. I'm not a menacing papparazzi harrassing you while you're trying to take your child to school. THIS IS WHAT YOU GOT DRESSED UP FOR STUPID! AND ITS FREE PUBLICITY FOR YOUR TRASH BAG DRESS! People in this industry are paid more than people who ACTUALLY contribute to society and this is how they treat patrons who potentially buy their product. Now I'm not at all saying I make or break her but it's a cause and effect type thing. Remember how you treat people, everyday...that's just GROSS. AND BIG UPS TO HOW GRACIOUS AND KIND MAXWELL AND TEYANNA TAYLOR WERE ALLLLLLLL EVENING....Sheesh....

Moving on...

Here's one of the models gettin his Beyonce on...and Teyana Taylor tearin up the dance floor...

and here's the random lady wearin a tutu that showed Teyana up...

Hehehe I mean I'm just sayin...she got it...

I've been to a lot of industry parties and I must say..these fashion folks sure get down a little harder then the music folks...isn't it ironic? Or it is it just NUEVA YORK!!!

A lil inside mi noggin..

I'm blunt...and rather observant...DUH that means I should blog! I suffer from, no let me rephrase, I combat living with an AVM on a daily basis. An AVM is an Abnormal Veinous Malformation which affects about 250,000 people in the US (http://www.cumc.columbia.edu/dept/cerebro/AVM.htm#Link8). It affects everyone differently, for me it's caused a constant headache since 2003...litterally. I've been in countless doctors offices, been poked and proded, been through the emotions of being misdiagnosed with a brain tumor. Needless to say, I've been through a lot and not just because of my...let's call it an ailment. Above all I've developed a less than common outlook on life and perception of things.Don't for one minute misconstrue, I'm in no way a victim, I'm self-sufficient almost to a fault and encourage others to turn their weaknesses into empowerment. It builds character and makes for one hell of a screenplay ha! That combined with growing up immersed in a semi-charmed world, and the glitz and glamour of Hollyweird leads to some interesting anecdotes...Here are my thoughts...

There are many other Headcases in the world...here are a few..
