The living...

So some of you may or may not know I just move into my very first NYC apartment BY MYSELF. After what my aunt likes to call "A typical crazy New York roommate story, everyone has one", I found a lovely place just for me. Best part, no 51/50 roommate and I can do what the EFF I want! LOL

But my aunt keeps giving me living things....

First the plant above, then some flowers which officially had it today and are in the trash. I keep asking her why and she says, "to bring life to my apartment" and that's the funny part. I see myself in this plant.

I'm not one for having a green thumb by any means. Pets are easier, they hump your leg when they need something. But a plant, I will continually be in my head and forget you even when I do place the water bottle directly next to you to remember.

However, this little guy, much like me is surviving. He's getting his itty bits of sun light here and there (god I miss Cali), his H20 enough to grow (yeah I should drink more water) and despite his few marks of brown distinction (so what I've got scars!), he's making it. Despite his less than stellar environment and circumstance, he's still green and full of LIFE.

Be in joy folks....

I'm blunt...and rather observant...DUH that means I should blog! I suffer from, no let me rephrase, I combat living with an AVM on a daily basis. An AVM is an Abnormal Veinous Malformation which affects about 250,000 people in the US (http://www.cumc.columbia.edu/dept/cerebro/AVM.htm#Link8). It affects everyone differently, for me it's caused a constant headache since 2003...litterally. I've been in countless doctors offices, been poked and proded, been through the emotions of being misdiagnosed with a brain tumor. Needless to say, I've been through a lot and not just because of my...let's call it an ailment. Above all I've developed a less than common outlook on life and perception of things.Don't for one minute misconstrue, I'm in no way a victim, I'm self-sufficient almost to a fault and encourage others to turn their weaknesses into empowerment. It builds character and makes for one hell of a screenplay ha! That combined with growing up immersed in a semi-charmed world, and the glitz and glamour of Hollyweird leads to some interesting anecdotes...Here are my thoughts...

There are many other Headcases in the world...here are a few..
