Dear Oscars....

As a child of the theater, ok ok weird ass theater kid that often rambunctiously busts into a show tune, I've been ecstatic in recent years with the boom of Broadway to big screen and crossover films. But lip-syncing and High School Musical on the stage of the Oscars? Really? I know they were aiming for more showmanship and viewers this year but...really? I dunno what do you think? Peep:

I can't call it...the medley was just so much..and as my cohort Natasha from YBF said..a BIG LOL to the At Last throw in...

In other news from last night...
SLUMMMMMMMMMMDOOOOOOOOOOGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!
So incredibly proud of this movie, the cast and all the well-deserved accolades that it is getting. If you haven't seen it yet, YOU SHOULD. It's such an incredible display of human nature, flaw, love, perseverance, love, loyalty, karma and one of the best displays of storytelling I've seen in a long time. In fact I'm gonna have to watch it again this afternoon after my Rockband world tour lol.

Dope that they gave it to Heath Ledger too even though that was somewhat predictable but even MORE dope that Sean Penn won because Milk was an AMAZING film as well.

Here's looking forward to next year's golden men and a year of great films....

I'm blunt...and rather observant...DUH that means I should blog! I suffer from, no let me rephrase, I combat living with an AVM on a daily basis. An AVM is an Abnormal Veinous Malformation which affects about 250,000 people in the US (http://www.cumc.columbia.edu/dept/cerebro/AVM.htm#Link8). It affects everyone differently, for me it's caused a constant headache since 2003...litterally. I've been in countless doctors offices, been poked and proded, been through the emotions of being misdiagnosed with a brain tumor. Needless to say, I've been through a lot and not just because of my...let's call it an ailment. Above all I've developed a less than common outlook on life and perception of things.Don't for one minute misconstrue, I'm in no way a victim, I'm self-sufficient almost to a fault and encourage others to turn their weaknesses into empowerment. It builds character and makes for one hell of a screenplay ha! That combined with growing up immersed in a semi-charmed world, and the glitz and glamour of Hollyweird leads to some interesting anecdotes...Here are my thoughts...

There are many other Headcases in the world...here are a few..
