Thank god I'm a geek...

Cuz my childhood was full of this...

and..

Light brights, my first computer and Teddy Ruxbin...

Cutting all of barbie's hair off and playing with legos, playdough and HOT WHEELS (I still high jack my little cousin's collection)...

I had baseball cards an the most bad ass pogs and slammers around...yeah my case was one of the tallest..lol My favorite was the Gold Slammer, thick as 4 quarters in a stack and won almost every time because it was so heavy...

I was 5 when Batman came out and slightly obsessed with his gadgets...ok still am..

But more than ANYONE...it was THIS dude...

My fave part...

I often wonder about this dichotomy...us kids big and small that did/do not fit into the traditional labels and expectations. I noticed it especially this Halloween from the shockattention I got when I bust out my girlie side, hanging up my hoodies, boots and sneaks for titties, gloss and heels. Or when one of my homey lover friends outright referred to me as "Girlie Mir" when I got UBER excited for Sex and the City.

For some of us, the Nerd chromosome rules dominant more so than the X or Y. We are androgynous and relate to eachother on the weird and the quirky while leaving the typically sexually oriented for the birds...

I appreciate that and my fellow weirdos...but I can't lie, it's also cool to know I still got it to cross over lol.

I'm blunt...and rather observant...DUH that means I should blog! I suffer from, no let me rephrase, I combat living with an AVM on a daily basis. An AVM is an Abnormal Veinous Malformation which affects about 250,000 people in the US (http://www.cumc.columbia.edu/dept/cerebro/AVM.htm#Link8). It affects everyone differently, for me it's caused a constant headache since 2003...litterally. I've been in countless doctors offices, been poked and proded, been through the emotions of being misdiagnosed with a brain tumor. Needless to say, I've been through a lot and not just because of my...let's call it an ailment. Above all I've developed a less than common outlook on life and perception of things.Don't for one minute misconstrue, I'm in no way a victim, I'm self-sufficient almost to a fault and encourage others to turn their weaknesses into empowerment. It builds character and makes for one hell of a screenplay ha! That combined with growing up immersed in a semi-charmed world, and the glitz and glamour of Hollyweird leads to some interesting anecdotes...Here are my thoughts...

There are many other Headcases in the world...here are a few..
