Ok so I keep getting emails about a post a few weeks back (click HERE to read) about store closures.
First I got this:
Please, in your article (http://aheadcase.blogspot.com/2008/11/guess-my-shopping-addiction-is-in.html) you say CompUSA is closed...
But we aren't! We have 28 stores open as well as a very popular website.
Please update your post.

So I responded:
Its circulating in an IRS / finance article. I don't know what you do for them, but I do know they have been having trouble for a while and definitely hooked me up with a low price on a laptop a few years ago when they were closing in Culver City.
So he said:
It's a year old thread that has been "updated" since last year - the republishing has been killing me! We purchased 16 store leases, all IP, domains and customers from the "former" CompUSA in January of this year. I actually run the web division. We have been doing some great things, including a whole new spin on retail. I've provided you a link to the article below.

Thanks for responding.

Then today I got this email:
Your article "Guess my shopping addiction is in jeopardy" is inaccurate. Movie Gallery is not planning to close any stores at this time. Please find an official statement from the company here: http://www.moviegallery.com/company/blog.aspx. Please remove the paragraph about Movie Gallery from your article at your earliest convenience.
Thank you.
Ok here's my thing...this is an OPINION BLOG about pop culture and politics and random everyday happenings. Are you serious? It's not like it comes up in google searches (I checked) let alone NOWHERE on my site do I claim this to be gospel. If anything I think it would've been more efficient to track down the people sending out the email. While I appreciate your patronage, I highly doubt that is the one post the few hundreds of hits I get a day are focusing on. And I have no idea what Movie Gallery is....
So while I hope you will still continue to be a Head Caser, I didn't send the email, I just thought it was interesting enough to impart to my audience....in short, your battle is not with me...

- I'm blunt...and rather observant...DUH that means I should blog! I suffer from, no let me rephrase, I combat living with an AVM on a daily basis. An AVM is an Abnormal Veinous Malformation which affects about 250,000 people in the US (http://www.cumc.columbia.edu/dept/cerebro/AVM.htm#Link8). It affects everyone differently, for me it's caused a constant headache since 2003...litterally. I've been in countless doctors offices, been poked and proded, been through the emotions of being misdiagnosed with a brain tumor. Needless to say, I've been through a lot and not just because of my...let's call it an ailment. Above all I've developed a less than common outlook on life and perception of things.Don't for one minute misconstrue, I'm in no way a victim, I'm self-sufficient almost to a fault and encourage others to turn their weaknesses into empowerment. It builds character and makes for one hell of a screenplay ha! That combined with growing up immersed in a semi-charmed world, and the glitz and glamour of Hollyweird leads to some interesting anecdotes...Here are my thoughts...
