I was in TEARS last night...

Now this man is getting a LOT of bad press right now, but I took the time to watch Kat Williams' new DVD "It's Pimpin Pimpin" last night and was IN TEARS to say the least. Check out this clip...

Now what you don't get to see is where he takes this joke...PURE COMEDY. Other highlights include his discussion about Ritalin and his son, his comparison of being black in America to being a tiger in a zoo and many more.

I am usually the first to criticize black comedians for using the n word, cussing too much for comedic affect and pretty much resulting to buffoonery for a laugh. This special, however, gained so much more respect from me. When watching, please take notice of his repeated connection with the camera, point blank, much like a motivational speaker and his repetitious ways while attempting to drive home KEY and important elements to the African American community, which he is well aware he has a strong hold on right now. He speaks of the food that is slowly killing our families, the mockery "the man" (or whomever you would like to place blame) still projects in the media, the prevalent racism or covert as I like to call it, and most importantly he calls his audience to "FOCUS ON YOUR STAR PLAYER".

Kat is a smart man. He has found a way to drive home what needs to be said to those who are not watching CNN, reading the WSJ or subscribing to world politics. He has taken up his social responsibility in a very cunning way and has united it with his passion and a common joy, laughter. Say what you will but at one of our most crucial times to date, more should be doing this. This is not to condone his outlandish behavior but at the same time for anyone incredibly talented at what they do, they are always socially lacking and well....crazy.

Here's hoping Dave Chappelle comes back in full force as well....

I'm blunt...and rather observant...DUH that means I should blog! I suffer from, no let me rephrase, I combat living with an AVM on a daily basis. An AVM is an Abnormal Veinous Malformation which affects about 250,000 people in the US (http://www.cumc.columbia.edu/dept/cerebro/AVM.htm#Link8). It affects everyone differently, for me it's caused a constant headache since 2003...litterally. I've been in countless doctors offices, been poked and proded, been through the emotions of being misdiagnosed with a brain tumor. Needless to say, I've been through a lot and not just because of my...let's call it an ailment. Above all I've developed a less than common outlook on life and perception of things.Don't for one minute misconstrue, I'm in no way a victim, I'm self-sufficient almost to a fault and encourage others to turn their weaknesses into empowerment. It builds character and makes for one hell of a screenplay ha! That combined with growing up immersed in a semi-charmed world, and the glitz and glamour of Hollyweird leads to some interesting anecdotes...Here are my thoughts...

There are many other Headcases in the world...here are a few..
