Sorry I'm late...

but so worth the wait! How funny was last night??? If ya missed it....

(Youtube the other 50 pts on your own time lol)

Now besides the RAMPANT contradictions here are several HILARIOUS things I enjoyed about last night:

1. The RNC party crashers!!! At first, I was like what's with this over-patriotic crowd and why the heck do they keep yelling USA? Why not "McCain McCain he's our man!" or "Country First" something a little more...relevant to the man on stage. But luckily, to my high surprise, they were trying to drown out the anti-war protesters! HAHAHAHAHA! It was great! One guy up in the nose-bleeds had a sign that said "McCain Votes Against Vets" on one side and "You Can't Win an Occupation" on the other. Classic. Then some radical lovelies just busted through the crowd! Check it...

And then he refers to his "fellow Americans" as "ground noise and static"...(I'm not even going to touch those contradictions)

2. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that good ol Cindy McCain chose not just to have a token black person, but a token African. The best part, the woman OBVIOUSLY barely understood what was going on and CLEARLY was bamboozled into being a tool. The woman was from Rwanda (again not gonna touch that insensitivity) and here's what Cindy had to say for her intro...Classic quote:

"She suffered unimaginable horrors and was made to watch appalling havoc wreaked on her family. Yet, as the violence in her country subsides, she doesn't seek retribution — instead, she offers love and seeks reconciliation for her people. She says, simply, "It's time to move on for me and my country."-Cindy McCain

Now besides wondering what real point Cindy had by having her there (seeing as how their whole campaign is about essentially getting America to be this big energy independent, patriotic, super bubble that sits by itself and doesn't interact with the rest of the world), I think this is what Cindy REALLY wanted to say,

"To the American Black population, here's my friend Ernestine who went through a traumatic hardship too and she's moving on so why don't you?!"

Well Cindy, for the same reason all the faces in your close-ups at the convention look the same....NOT MUCH HAS CHANGED! Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not at all one of those bitter minorities that walks around like "F**k whitey, damn the man, and woe is me" But I definitely can recognize the discrepancies in our glorious society and although racism and prejudice has "reformed" from the OVERT to the COVERT...it's still around. In addition, practice what you preach sister! This lovely party is STILL screaming about 9/11 (don't misinterpret I'm by no means downplaying the tragedy hear me out) and wants to bomb "Islamic Terrorists" to hell....How's that for "moving on" and "love and reconciliation"? Instead of repairing our country, maybe making sure people hate us LESS you wanna keep killing people and support our troops...DYING!...wtf?

3. How great was the ONE "Hispanic" chick with the ugly hat and sign that said "Hispanics [heart] McCain"?? Now what was even greater than her outfit that Pippi Longstocking is so desperately wanting back, was the fact that her sign was plural....and she was standing by herself. They kept going back to her too as if to say, "Seeeeee minorities like him, he even has the Latino vote" but ummmmm 1, does not an election make...
4. The darker daughter came out to play! For like 30 seconds...and Johnny boy didn't acknowledge her and Cindy made sure to acknowledge she was adopted and let everyone know how she "saved" her from Bangladesh...Way to make her feel American and part of the family!
5. This was one of my favorites: John's older than dirt mom. 96-years young my arse! She looked like she was here for our original independence...the clock is meaaaaaaaaaan to....well you get it...
6. That McCain video was like watching a remake of Saving Private Poppa Smurf....WAR WAR WAR aiyaaaaaaaaa! That's what your McCain vote gets ya!
Well folks let me know what you thought....

I'm blunt...and rather observant...DUH that means I should blog! I suffer from, no let me rephrase, I combat living with an AVM on a daily basis. An AVM is an Abnormal Veinous Malformation which affects about 250,000 people in the US (http://www.cumc.columbia.edu/dept/cerebro/AVM.htm#Link8). It affects everyone differently, for me it's caused a constant headache since 2003...litterally. I've been in countless doctors offices, been poked and proded, been through the emotions of being misdiagnosed with a brain tumor. Needless to say, I've been through a lot and not just because of my...let's call it an ailment. Above all I've developed a less than common outlook on life and perception of things.Don't for one minute misconstrue, I'm in no way a victim, I'm self-sufficient almost to a fault and encourage others to turn their weaknesses into empowerment. It builds character and makes for one hell of a screenplay ha! That combined with growing up immersed in a semi-charmed world, and the glitz and glamour of Hollyweird leads to some interesting anecdotes...Here are my thoughts...

There are many other Headcases in the world...here are a few..
