I watched Sarah Palin's speech in it's entirety last night and it left me....scared, genuinely scared for our future. Despite the less serious stabs I take at her not being able to man her household, her plans for this country are contrived in a bubble and so special-interest driven I fear for the world and our well being should the McCain/Palin ticket win. I'm going to try my best not to be funny and use visuals because I'm still so shocked at how so many people sitting in that convention could have agreed with this woman.
First, Palin believes we should strive for "American Energy Independence". She proposes we do this by oil drilling in Alaska, giving more Americans jobs and using our own natural resources through a "natural gas pipeline". That's very nice and all Hockey Mom, but not only does drilling make all the Polar Bears go extinct (because really you're off-shore drilling no matter how much you want to disguise it), it does this:
She went on to say, "Our opponents say again and again that drilling will not solve all of America's energy problems, as if we didn't know that already. (Laughter.) But the fact -- the fact that drilling, though, won't solve every problem is no excuse to do nothing at all." But reshaping the world, depleting our continent, YEAH, THAT'S THE TICKET.
Sarah continued to say in one of many attacks on Obama that he "is a man who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting and never use the word "victory" -- except when he's talking about his own campaign. (Cheers, applause.)" Well folks, is THIS something victorious?:
Some more Sarah:"America needs more energy. Our opponent is against producing it. Victory in Iraq is finally in sight and he wants to forfeit. (Boos.) Terrorist states are seeking nuclear weapons without delay. He wants to meet them without preconditions. (Boos.) Al Qaeda terrorists still plot to inflict catastrophic harm on America, and he's worried that someone won't read them their rights. (Boos, cheers, applause.)
Government is too big. He wants to grow it. Congress spends too much money. He promises more. Taxes are too high, and he wants to raise them."
Government is too big. He wants to grow it. Congress spends too much money. He promises more. Taxes are too high, and he wants to raise them."
Here's the thing, and why Sarah Palin and McCain scare me SO incredibly much: We are at THE most crucial time in mankind's history. Not since maybe small pox broke out have we been at such an interface of issues facing EVERYONE. This election is no longer JUST about America. We are in a time where issues are WORLDLY, and most in part due to America's fuck ups we are in a bad situation and their solution is to seclude ourselves, fuck up more and keep pissing off/killing off other countries till they nuke us to kingdom come. They can make fun of Obama's "adventure to Europe" as Romney put it but what he's doing dip shits, is trying to heal our relations because when it comes to the issues America is facing, we aren't facing them alone.
My boss says us "Obama supporters would still love Obama if he f**ked a horse in the a** tomorrow!"...not so, I just don't prefer the a** of an alternative.
For those of you who missed her tirade...here you go but warning: past the "lipstick" joke, it's all downhill...

I wish there were more people like Darrell Anderson that are willing to bring the truth to the doorsteps of Americans...
Its sad how our country men just forget about the lies and conspiracies our very own government has forces on us.
on another note Sarah Palin should be the best thing to happen to Obama's camp. America has always been about image, and her image at home is not looking good.
