Get with the picket fence!

While in LA, a good friend of mine imparted a story about her boss's nosey neighbor who's slightly racist, crazy and doesn't allow cute, young, hardworking, black girls throw their car trash away in her cans on garbage day. We politely call her the trash Nazi (not to her face of course, for face-to-face contact we prefer, "Hey old bag!").

In addition to her antics, pure miserable existence and old-people smell,

she also has this Jungle boogie hot mess------>

for a front yard. I'm sorry but when you live on a well groomed Mr. Rodgers' neighborhood street like THIS...

HOW IS THIS ACCEPTABLE?!?! Luckily for us, the street and neighbors, my friend had balls enough to confront the old grouch. Here's how it went...kinda....

My friend: Excuse me, I was wondering if you could trim your bushes down at the end of the driveway. It makes it really hard to see when we are backing out.

Old Bag: You see this? (pointing at the ground) This is the property line and your hedge is actually what's making it difficult not my bush! You guys only take care of your side and leave the other untouched. (Sidebar: she's referring to a hedge that shares the property line which you would be able to see in the pic above except HER BUSH BLOCKS ALL...proceed)

My friend: Well actually it's your bush. And your bush needs to go.

After going back and forth, my friend realizes that A. the lady is crazy and B. all she really needs is for someone to take care of it for her. My friend proceeds to offer their gardener take care of it and it's settled....and I am pleased to report.....

THE BITCH'S BUSH HAS BEEN WHACKED!

Thank goodness for my friends, taking the crazy trash/bush Nazis out one block at a time!

I'm blunt...and rather observant...DUH that means I should blog! I suffer from, no let me rephrase, I combat living with an AVM on a daily basis. An AVM is an Abnormal Veinous Malformation which affects about 250,000 people in the US (http://www.cumc.columbia.edu/dept/cerebro/AVM.htm#Link8). It affects everyone differently, for me it's caused a constant headache since 2003...litterally. I've been in countless doctors offices, been poked and proded, been through the emotions of being misdiagnosed with a brain tumor. Needless to say, I've been through a lot and not just because of my...let's call it an ailment. Above all I've developed a less than common outlook on life and perception of things.Don't for one minute misconstrue, I'm in no way a victim, I'm self-sufficient almost to a fault and encourage others to turn their weaknesses into empowerment. It builds character and makes for one hell of a screenplay ha! That combined with growing up immersed in a semi-charmed world, and the glitz and glamour of Hollyweird leads to some interesting anecdotes...Here are my thoughts...

There are many other Headcases in the world...here are a few..
